playing in the creek.

Last weekend, we hiked to a castle.
(Yes, living in Germany has its perks.)
On the way back down, we stopped and let the boys play in the ice-cold creek.

Cade fell in.

And fussed for a minute…

Then immediately followed his brother back through the water.

Bubba hates wet clothes. When it was time to leave, he stripped his shorts.
Cade is Austin’s exact opposite, and was content to stay in wet clothes. There was even a tantrum when we tried to change him into dry clothes at the car.

Do you let your children explore castle ruins and wade in ice-cold creeks?
Speaking of ice, there’s some sweet tea calling my name…

  7. 1. creeks are so fun! that one looks super refreshing to me right now. (it is 90-something here and i'm pregnant, soo... i kind of want to roll in it)

    2. my daughter is the same way with wet clothes. the second a drop gets on her she yells, "NEW SHIRT MAMA!" and pulls hers off.
